Established in 1966, Selkirk College is the first community college in British Columbia, Canada. The college has six campuses and two learning centres that are Castlegar Campus, Tenth Street Campus (Nelson), Victoria Street Campus (Nelson), Silver King Campus (Nelson), Trail Campus, Grand Forks Campus, Kaslo Learning Centre and Nakusp Learning Centre. Selkirk College is affiliated to ACCC, CCAA, BCCAA, CBIE, CUP

Selkirk College is renowned for innovative and unique learning opportunities and it offers over 60 nationally recognized programs. The college provides certificate, diploma, bachelor degree, co-operative education and continuing education programs thought various schools such as Schools of Business and Aviation, Digital Media and Music, Health and Human Services, Hospitality and Tourism, Industry and Trades Training, Renewable Resources, University Arts and Sciences, Adult Basic Education and Transitional Training and Kootenay School of the Arts.

The college offers credit transfer to a multitude of universities for degree completion and enhanced training to further career opportunities.
